About

Haunted Jukebox is a place for me to post writing on music and film, but also various lists and photo essays. 100 Albums (2014-19), a project containing essays on my favorite albums in chronological order of release is collected here in its entirety; recent and upcoming posts will lean heavily towards memoir and yet more best-of lists, because I love a good list.

Hey! You wrote a very complimentary post about a previous pseudonym of mine “MilwaukeeTVMadman,” which existed many miles and years ago. The channel got caught in the middle of early YouTube over-policing and despite my almost annual pleas to Google for reinstatement, it remains the greatest username I ever lost.
I couldn’t stay away. After watching closely the last few years, I finally began digging back in to the Video That Made Milwaukee Famous. Check out out if you get a chance! I’m still filling things out, but there’s a solid foundation right now!

Keep circulating the tapes… I am forever grateful that you provided proof that the “Ruby, Ruby, Ruby, Ruby, Ruby Chevrolet!!!” jingle exists and was not something I dreamt up as a child.
